Munich, January 10, 2017 – Ms. Sourour Stanke (37) has been appointed the new Head of Corporate Communications at Giesecke & Devrient. Ms. Stanke took up the role on January 2, 2017 and in this position will report directly to the Chairman of the Management Board Ralf Wintergerst. Munich (Germany), December 21, 2016 –Global leader in mobile security solutions G&D plans to invest in Solacia, an affiliate of Hansol Group, in order to move closer to major OEM customer and to strenghten the cooperation on innovative new business fields such as IoT and Connected Cars. G&D will hold 16.29% of Solacia's shares as a result of third-party paid-in capital increase (1.2 million shares).

Trial starting November to test management of utility sensors in Singapore using eSIM technology Singapore/Munich, 5 December 2016. Giesecke & Devrient have started the test in November this year with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore. G&D is the lead contractor for the trial, and will provide IMDA with the test bed for Remote Provisioning of eSIM to IoT Devices. The trial will involve utility sensors belonging to the PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. The trial started in November 2016, and will run for at least two months.
